All About Bluebirds

Presenter John Rogers maintains hundreds of bluebird nest boxes, and has fledged over 13,000 bluebirds. His PowerPoint presentation about bluebirds, their nesting cycle (building nests, egg laying, raising young, etc.) and the proper use of bluebird boxes will delight and educate.

Mr. Rogers opens hearts and minds to bluebirds, other birds, butterflies, wildflowers, and nature appreciation with his visually beautiful photographs, bird sounds, and sincere, enthusiastic presentation style.

John has won many awards for his bluebird conservation work, and for educating the public, including the coveted North American Bluebird Society Conservation Award in 1992 in Minneapolis, and the John and Nora Lane Award for Bluebird Conservation in Athens, Georgia in 2007. Co-founder of the New York State Bluebird Society and a life member of the North American Bluebird Society. BA Biology, SUNY Oswego.- Member of the Onondaga Audubon Society in Syracuse.

After the presentation you may build your own bluebird nest box

Kids and adults love to make their own bluebird box. Other birds that use this box include tree swallows, chickadees , titmice, and wrens. hand-on learning experience using pre-cut lumber. All materials and tools provided for $20

Must register if you plan on constructing a bluebird box.
