Enjoy the Wonders of Winter at the Great Swamp Conservancy’s Winter Hibernation Festival, Feb. 16th from 10:00 am- 3:00 pm. This family oriented day is full of winter activities outdoors so dress warm for X-Country skiing, snowshoeing, horse drawn sleigh rides, sledding, human sled races, kid’s burrowing tunnel, roast marshmallows over a Swedish Candle, tug of war, and more. Celebrate inside with educational hibernation displays, games, nature crafts, food, Out of the Cage Wildlife Rescue 11:00 am –noon, Jean Soprano’s Kindred Kingdom-Birds of Prey 1:00-2:00, visit the indoor Igloo and try your luck at winning the Hibernation Raffle Basket.
This annual event is encouraging families and individuals to put down the electronics, grab a pair of mittens and chill out at the Great Swamp Conservancy. Bolster your environmental awareness and appreciation for nature at this Winter Hibernation Festival. Admission is $4/adult, Kids 12 and under $1, and $8 max for families.
